Hey everyone! Welcome to the Earthquack blog, where we give all our tips and tricks in order to survive an Earthquake.

Today, we have collated a bunch of tips that you should follow that will help you when an Earthquake does strike. It's important that we are always prepared for anything, so we have a bunch of tips for different situations as well.

We always say this here in Earthquack, but please, DUCK. COVER. AND HOLD. Duck underneath a solid object such as a table or chair, cover your head and the upper spine, and hold onto the object on top of you. These steps might just save your life during an Earthquake, and it's best if you know exactly what to do.

Do not panic! Earthquakes last for a short time only, somewhere around a few seconds to a minute, and it's best to be calm and rational in order to create smart choices for survival.

You should never flee a building during an Earthquake. This is because debris might fall on you, which might injure or kill you. It's best to duck, cover, and hold, during an Earthquake, and evacuate the building once the shaking has stopped.

If you are a student, and the Earthquake happens when you're in school, always listen to your teacher for instructions. They have been briefed on what to do in this situation, and therefore would be able to facilitate the evacuation procedure carefully.

Once the Earthquake is over, you would want to wear sturdy, close-toed shoes to protect your feet from broken glass shards or fallen debris. It's also nice to wear sturdy shoes to help you navigate uneven terrain more comfortably and efficiently.

Be careful about other hazards that can be triggered by Earthquakes such as tsunamis and landslides. Earthquakes may last for only a short while, but aftershocks do happen, so you must be alert at all times. Tsunamis and landslides may also occur after an earthquake, so you have to be prepared.

Always keep these tips in mind in order to increase your chances of surviving an Earthquake, or any other hazard that comes with it. Never leave your survival to chance; if you can prepare for it, then prepare for it.
